Canola meal is a by-product of canola seed oil production.
Citrus Pulp Pellet is a by-product obtained from the citrus juice industry. It is the ground peel, residue of inside portions and occasional cull fruits of the citrus family, which have been limed, pressed, dried and pelletised. It is a dark brown pellet with a pleasant citrus odour.
Corn Gluten Feed is a by-product from the manufacture of corn starch and corn syrup. It is a medium protein feed. Corn Gluten Feed is a major feed ingredient in ruminant diets, particularly for beef and dairy cattle.
Corn distillers grains or DDGS is the main by-product of the distillation of alcohol and industrial ethanol from maize grain. DDGS is golden in colour and is also known as "golden DDGS"
Nutrinza's High Starch Pellet is a 100% grain pellet and an excellent source of energy.
Hominy is a high quality byproduct from maize milling and is a high energy feed that is excellent for feeding during early lactation to minimise weight loss and maximise peak milk production.
Maize grain is one of the best sources of energy and carbohydrate for the lactating cow and also ideal for weight gain.
A newly-developed rumen protected bypass fat uniquely-formulated with a specific balance of C16:0 and C18:1 fatty acids to achieve performance benefits through the whole lactation. A calcium salt of palm fatty acids, Mega-Max improves milk yield, milk fat, fertility and body condition score.
A highly-proven, rumen-protected bypass fat, Megalac is a source of energy to support body condition, fertility and production. A calcium salt of palm fatty acids, Megalac is one of the most energy-dense feeds available.
P8 is a lactose product which is a by-product of cheese manufacturing. Lactose is often referred to as whey permeate, which is the watery part of the milk.
Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE) is produced from the mechanical extraction of oil from the fruit of the Oil Palm.
Soya beans are primarily processed for their oil, which leads to the generation of two primary by-products – Soya Bean Meal and Soya Bean Hulls. Soya Bean Hulls are the outer coating of the soya bean and this hull is removed when soya beans are processed into Soya Bean Meal. Soya Bean Hulls are quite small in size and are not very dense so are pelleted to increase ease of handling and bulk density. With respect to nutritional value, the loose and pelleted hulls are equal.
Soya bean meal is obtained from the process of extracting soya oil from the bean.
Sunflower meal is the by-product of the extraction of oil from sunflower seeds. The meal is pelleted to increase the density and improve flow in silos.
Tapioca comes from Casava plant tuber/root and is grown in the tropics.
Vat Buster is a mix of ingredients designed to maximise production. It is a 5mm pellet that is great in a blend or on its own.
As with any grain or meal feed products need to be kept dry as moisture combined with heat can cause fungi to grow. Common on farm storage methods are: in a shed or unused fertiliser bin; in a covered pit; on a concrete pad; or in a cutting, covered with plastic sheet and tyres. Most feed should be used reasonably expediently (within 40 - 50 days). The longer you plan to store feed products the better your storage facilities need to be.
